Good Evening!(or morning, depending on when you read this)

Today's  book: A Wrinkle in Time.

By Madeleine L`engle.

I am so sorry I haven't posted in so long. I write on my mom's laptop and she had to take it to New York for the past couple of weeks. Anyway, A Wrinkle in Time is an old classic (1962) and is very well written.  I have read all the books at least twice. However, lot of people who read this book don't realize there are four more books in addition to the first one because although the first book is called A Wrinkle in Time , it is also the name of the series. Today I am going to summarize the first book.

The book starts on a dark and stormy night.  Meg, (the main character) cannot sleep so she goes downstairs for a midnight snack. There, she finds her younger brother Charles Wallace waiting for her, knowing she wouldn't be able to  sleep in the middle of a thunderstorm. While they are there, a mysterious guest arrives at their door. Her name is Mrs. Whatsit. She doesn't stay long, however and as she goes by the door she says something to Meg`s mother that changes everything , and causes Meg, Charles Wallace and Calvin,(a recent acquaintance ) to embark on a quest with Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which to save humanity, and possibly their father. Along the way they will travel through space and time, visit several unusual planets, and face a great number of difficult challenges. The creativity of Madeleine L`engle knows no bounds.

There is one more thing I would like to talk about, and that its the movie recently made of A Wrinkle in Time . It stinks. It took all Christian value from the books and infused it with new-age nonsense. Only about 50% of the movie was part of the book, and instead of making it exiting and wonderful the movie made it weird and creepy. My point is, if you saw the movie and didn't like it ,then you will probably love the books.

Bye and Happy Reading!
